Body, Movement & Meaning
Understanding your body shouldn’t feel confusing or out of reach.
This section is where I share clear, evidence-informed guidance on pain, movement, recovery and Soft Tissue Therapy — rooted in clinical knowledge, ongoing research, and real-world experience.
Every article here reflects the same approach I use in practice: grounded in anatomy, guided by contemporary pain science, and always tailored to the complexities of real life. My aim is to help you feel more connected to your body — and more confident in how to support it.
Whether you're managing long-term discomfort, preparing for a physical goal, or just trying to move through daily life with more ease, these insights are written to help you make sense of what’s going on — and what might help.
If you have a question or there’s a topic you’d like to see covered, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m always happy to help
How Long is a Session?
Sessions typically last 30 - 60 minutes, but they’re about much more than time — they’re about presence, precision, and creating space to listen to what your body truly needs.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
How many sessions will you need? That depends — on your body, your goals, and how you respond to treatment. There’s no fixed package, no pressure, and no blanket rules — just an honest, collaborative plan that works for you.
Do You Treat Elderly Clients or People with Limited Mobility?
Yes — Soft Tissue Therapy is a safe treatment for elderly clients and people with limited mobility. Gentle techniques often produce powerful results, even without strong pressure.
Does it hurt?
Soft Tissue Therapy doesn’t have to hurt to work. Pain is not the goal — and in many cases, it can actually slow down recovery.
Is Soft-Tissue Therapy Safe for Pregnant Women?
Yes — Soft Tissue Therapy can be safe and supportive during pregnancy, depending on your stage and symptoms. I’ll always assess carefully and adapt the treatment for comfort.
What If I’m Ticklish?
Ticklish? You’re not the only one. I’ve worked with many clients who were nervous about treatment for this exact reason — and it’s never been a barrier. Soft Tissue Therapy can be adapted to feel calm, safe and effective, even for the most ticklish bodies.
